چکیده

In this paper proposals on construction of the contactless ECG scanning system hardware are described. The philosophy of the system is based on the idea of creating a simple-to-be-worn dress that includes capacitive ECG sensors the outputs of which are transferred to the A/D converter of a processing device. Contemporary technologies enable sewing of the sensors as well as the connecting wires into the dress. The processing device receives three analogous signals corresponding to the potential differences sensed on the body of the measured person. The paper is focused on the problem of getting and transmitting this signal to the processing device.

8 Abstract Even though it might be beneficial to have 9 continuous baseline data upfront, today’s hospitalized 10 patients are put on a vital signs monitor not earlier than 11 they become bed-ridden. The aim of this study is to show 12 the feasibility of a broader monitoring concept, embracing 13 many more subjects, by monitoring contactless vital signs 14 with sensors embedded in non-ICU setti...

A Practical Approach concerning the Capacitive Acquisition of the Electrocardiogram in a Moving Wheelchair

Capacitive sensing of the electrocardiogram allows inconspicuous monitoring of the most well-known electrophysiological signal. Wheelchair users with cardiac maladies would benefit from ECG unobtrusive monitoring. However, motion and daily life activities impose strong artifacts to the signal acquired. This study aims at the extended capacitive electrocardiogram acquisition with and without mov...

Cloning Cryptographic RFID Cards for 25$

We develop a new, custom-built hardware for emulating contactless smartcards compliant to ISO 14443. The device is based on a modern low-cost microcontroller and can support basically all relevant (cryptographic) protocols used by contactless smartcards today, e.g., those based on AES or Triple-DES. As a proof of concept, we present a full emulation of Mifare Classic cards on the basis of our h...

Heart Rate Detection Using Microsoft Kinect: Validation and Comparison to Wearable Devices

Contactless detection is one of the new frontiers of technological innovation in the field of healthcare, enabling unobtrusive measurements of biomedical parameters. Compared to conventional methods for Heart Rate (HR) detection that employ expensive and/or uncomfortable devices, such as the Electrocardiograph (ECG) or pulse oximeter, contactless HR detection offers fast and continuous monitori...

"On-Card" User Authentication for Contactless Smart Cards based on Gesture Recognition

Smart cards are widely used for security purposes. To protect smart cards against misuse an authentication process (e.g. entering a pin or password) is necessary. Due to missing input interfaces “on-card”, an external terminal is required to input the password. Unfortunately the required external hardware (e.g. keypads, etc.) opens up new security issues by being vulnerable against attacks like...
